The “Rethinking Development in light of Climate Change” event organized at University of California Santa Cruz on Saturday, October 27th, 2012 gathered over forty scholars from a variety of departments and campuses across the San Francisco Bay Area to discuss salient issues linking climate change and development including challenges of local development, industrialization strategies, and cross-temporal and cross-spatial inequities at the heart of many climate action and development projects. Overall, the event helped foster interdisciplinary cross-campus discussions on a topic, which deserves continued and critical attention.
